| We will present two workshops at the Governor's Equal Employment Opportunity Conference on July 9, 2009. Please join us! Maximize Yourself: Leading and Living from the Whole Do you want to increase productivity, improve job performance, and be a more effective leader, mentor, coach or parent? In this experiential session, you will learn how to make more informed choices, realize your goals more rapidly, and move toward more desired outcomes and increased success. Promoting Diversity Through Storytelling Employers sometimes adopt a diversity policy, lauding its value, but then leave it to managers to implement it on the front lines. Listen: facts don't persuade employees, but a story will. People are mentally wired to learn from stories, not from facts. People are motivated by and learn from stories, not form corporate edicts. In this session, we will explore the how's and why's of storytelling so that managers, staff, leaders can apply them to positively impact diversity and inclusion initiatives and tasks at hand. When: Thursday, July 9, 2009 Time: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Where: Crowne Plaza Hotel (Formerly the Executive West) 830 Phillip Lane Louisville, KY 40209 For more information, please visit http://personnel.ky.gov/diversity/eeo/2009EEOConference |
